Oishi Park Day Trip from Tokyo

A day trip from Tokyo to Oishi Park and the Fuji lakes: where the coach leaves, the seven stops, 20 minutes at the park, the lunch-set options and prices.

Updated November 2026

Yes, Oishi Park makes a day trip from Tokyo: about 114 km by road from Tokyo Station, and the coach tours do it in about 10 hours with two hours on the road each way. The one in the calendar below, Japan Visionary Tour’s Tokyo: Mt Fuji & Oishi Park & Lake Kawaguchi & Oshino Hakkai, leaves Tokyo Station at 8:00 am or Shinjuku at 8:30 am and costs from $49 on promotion, usually $82 (checked November 2026). It treats Oishi Park as one stop among seven, a 20-minute photo stop, so the day is the Fuji lakes with the park in it, not a day at the park.

Where the coach leaves

Map of central Tokyo with the two departure points of the Oishi Park day tour: Shinjuku at 8:30 am, Mode Gakuen Cocoon Tower, and Tokyo Station at 8:00 am, meeting point STAND T
The two departure points in Tokyo: Tokyo Station at 8:00 am (STAND T, 1F, 1-5-1 Marunouchi) and Shinjuku at 8:30 am (Tokyo Mode Gakuen, Cocoon Tower, 1-7-3 Nishi-Shinjuku).

You pick the departure point when you pick the option. Each point is found by name:

  • Tokyo Station, 8:00 am. STAND T, 1F, 1-5-1 Marunouchi, Chiyoda. Search “STAND T” on Google Maps.
  • Shinjuku, 8:30 am. Tokyo Mode Gakuen, Cocoon Tower, 1-7-3 Nishi-Shinjuku. Search “Tokyo Mode Gakuen” on Google Maps: the school’s Cocoon Tower, a short walk from Shinjuku Station’s west side.

Free cancellation runs until 24 hours before the start. The coach takes about two hours to the lakes, longer in traffic, so keep the evening free.

The day, stop by stop

Map of the Fuji Five Lakes north of Mt Fuji: Oishi Park on the north shore of Lake Kawaguchi, Saiko Iyashi-no-Sato Nenba by Lake Sai, Kawaguchiko Station, Arakurayama Sengen Park with the Chureito Pagoda, Oshino Hakkai and Lake Yamanaka
The day’s stops round the lakes, from Saiko Iyashi-no-Sato Nenba in the west to Oshino Hakkai in the east.
  1. Saiko Iyashi-no-Sato Nenba, 1 hour. A rebuilt village of thatched houses by Lake Sai. Entry is included while a promotion lasts.
  2. Lake Kawaguchi, 20 minutes.
  3. Oishi Park, 20 minutes. A photo stop on the north shore: the flower path, the lake and, if the cloud allows, Mt Fuji across the water.
  4. Oshino Hakkai, 1 hour. Ponds fed by springs from Mt Fuji, in a village between Lake Kawaguchi and Lake Yamanaka.
  5. Arakurayama Sengen Park, Arakura Fuji Sengen Shrine and the Chureito Pagoda, about 1 hour. The five-storey pagoda above Fujiyoshida, reached by a long flight of steps.

Then about two hours back to Tokyo. The order and the times can change with traffic and the weather. Twenty minutes at Oishi Park is enough for the photograph and part of the path; if the park is what you came for, take a day that gives it longer or go on your own (how to get to Oishi Park).

Prices, ratings and review counts from the listings (GetYourGuide checked November 2026). Operators price by date and season, so treat the figures as the shape of the market, not a quote.

Shared by three, the private sedan’s from-price comes to about $108 each (checked November 2026), against $49 a seat on the coach; what the extra buys is the pickup at your hotel and the choice of how long you spend at the park. For one or two people, the coach day is the economical one.
